NASCENT celebrates 1000th kiosk milestone

Intermodal transportation technology provider NASCENT Technology announces the completion of its 1,000th Automated Gate System Kiosk

Intermodal transportation technology provider NASCENT Technology has announced the completion of its 1,000th Automated Gate System Kiosk.

In honor of the milestone, the company held a celebration at whcih NASCENT employees signed a banner that hangs on the kiosk, nicknamed "Jimmy." The Charlotte, North Carolina-based company plans to hold a formal dedication for Jimmy's delivery to the Norfolk Southern facility later in the year.

"The production of this kiosk and its recipient are important to NASCENT for statistical as well as sentimental reasons. Obviously, manufacturing and selling 1,000 kiosks is significant by any metric, but Norfolk Southern was our first railroad client and it’s only fitting that 'Jimmy' be delivered to a Norfolk Southern facility. The fact that it’ll be delivered to a facility so close to us, is just an added bonus," said Dave Lambacher, NASCENT vice president of business development.
