MobileBytes intros self-order kiosk app for restaurants

August 24, 2017

MobileBytes, a provider of point of sale software for iPads, has introduced a self-order kiosk app that can be loaded onto stationary iPads in restaurants, according to a press release. The kiosk software prompts customers through the ordering process and accepts credit card payments for orders.

"At the end of the day, we're bringing powerful technology to restaurants of any size, and helping them improve their bottom lines," Dan Calderone, MobileBytes CEO, said in the press release. "You don't have to be a large national chain to be able to afford the benefits of kiosk ordering."

Completed orders are processed directly through the restaurant's POS system, so kitchen staff can begin preparing the order immediately.

The system is environmentally friendly and paperless with receipts available through email or text message.

The final product is expected to be available for merchant use during the third quarter of 2017.

Pricing will be announced in advance of the final product release. MobileBytes authorized resellers will provide hardware and installation, as well as ongoing support.
