People with hearing difficulties will be able to use LinkNYC kiosks to make free phone calls thanks to improvements being introduced by the city, including a video relay service that connects users with sign language interpreters and braille descriptors, according to an ny1.com report.
The city's department of technology and telecommunication and the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities have been working on the kiosk improvements throughout the city.
The kiosks average 600,000 calls per month, according to city officials.
