Caesars Entertainment deployed self check-in kiosks at three of its properties in Las Vegas in December as part of a pilot program. Ceasars said the pilot has been a success, so its plans to deploy kiosks to other properties, according to areport by Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The kiosk is designed to reduce lines at the front desk, since the users can both check-in and receive their keys from the kiosk. If the room is not ready yet, the kiosk will complete the registration and inform the guest they will be sent a notification when the room is prepared. Caesars uses signs to point guests to the kiosk's location.
"Our goal is never have anybody wait more than 15 minutes, and we were far exceeding our goals by double during certain times of day and days of the week," said Bob Morse, president of hospitality for Caesars Entertainment.
Users can also start the check-in process online or through Caesars' mobile app. The company plans to deploy check-in kiosks at several locations including Paris Las Vegas, Bally's Las Vegas, Rio, Harrah's Las Vegas and Planet Hollywood, according to the report.
