Kroger to deploy health assessment kiosks nationwide

August 16, 2012

Kroger Co. Family Pharmacies announced this week plans to place self-service health screening kiosks at all 1,950 locations nationwide.

Provided by California-based Stayhealthy Inc., the HealthCENTER kiosks will offer customers a free and secure means to measure, monitor and improve body composition and other clinical conditions, Kroger Co. said in a press release.

Kiosk users can create personal health record accounts, which they can access online at Kroger's website, that enable them to chart their progress in meeting health and wellness goals.

Kroger has been piloting the HealthCENTERs in approximately 275 pharmacy locations since January, and the kiosks are currently accessible to customers in Cincinnati, Lexington, Ky., and Denver. Kroger expects most other pharmacy locations will have the kiosks by early 2013.
