Kiosks named as top hotel trend

Check-in kiosks are one of the hottest trends in the hotel industry, according to a Travel site published by Condé Nast, which also publishes 18 consumer magazines, four business-to-business publications, 27 websites, and more than 50 apps for mobile and tablet devices.

The kiosks showed up as No.9 on the website's 2012 Hot List, which rated the Top 10 hotel innovations over the last 16 years. Self-service also showed up in the 10th spot — the wireless concierge, which is now accessible these days via text message.
