Kiosks invade KU campus

August 31, 2011

Six kiosks will soon hit the University of Kansas student union.

According to the Daily Kansas, the kiosks will include interactive campus maps, schedules for athletic events, access to the University's twitter accounts and event information and calendars.

The kiosk software will also scan the users' images and sort them into four categories, said Bob Terry, president of Axon Displays, which will be provided to advertisers.

Axon Displays is not retaining images acquired by the program, however. The company will only give out the demographics of kiosk users.
