Kentucky company launches self-service reservations widget

Louisville, Ky.-based QSR Automations announced the release of DineTime Host version 3.0, a browser widget that when added to a restaurant's website provides self-service reservation options that sync in real time.

DineTime runs on an iPad that can manage wait lists and allow staff to send text messages to customers.

"Our work for the last 15 years has always been on the forefront of restaurant technology, and this release is no exception," QSR Automations President and CEO Lee Leet said in the announcement. "DineTime now streamlines guest management and online reservations in one app. We knew restaurants wanted an alternative to what's out there now — and they want one they can trust."

The app also offers customers the option of inviting friends for dinner during the online booking process, the release said. Restaurants can use the enhanced version to email promotions to their guests. 

The price for DineTime is based on the number of reservations and wait-listed parties, but it caps out at $199 a month for an unlimited number of parties.
