The Jack in the Box quick service restaurant chain has re-entered the Kansas City market and is offering kiosks where customers use a touch screen to order their meals, according to The Kansas City Star.
The San Diego-based chain this week opened a restaurant in the Kansas City area, joining its 2,200 restaurants in 19 states. Jack in the Box has been offering the self-serve ordering option in recent years. (See “Fast casual, QSR dining chains opt-in for self-service technology,” Oct. 1.)
Jack in the Box closed its seven Kansas City area restaurants in 1980. Additional locations are now planned for the area.
