Illinois' Ohio River Scenic Byway gets 7-county kiosk installation

Seven Southern Illinois counties that border the Ohio River have received interactive kiosks that promote the area's history, natural resources and assets along the river, thesouthern.com reported. Kiosk locations include restaurants, libraries and visitor's centers.

The 18-by-9-inch kiosks will also include links to lodging, visitor's centers, popular attractions and other information. A touchscreen design will give users access to the interface, with its content updated throughout the year.

Debbie Moore of Moore Tourism Development said in the article that the kiosks were funded through a $65,000 grant awarded from the Federal Highway Administration to the Ohio River Scenic Byway.
