ClaudeBusiness Week:IBM Corp. has announced that it teamed with Taiwan's MediaTek Inc. to develop ultra-fast chipsets that wirelessly can transmit a full-length, high-definition movie to and from a home PC, hand-held device, retail kiosk or television set. IBM said the new technology eliminates the need for connecting wires between HD-TVs and set-top boxes, and allows for more convenient placement of devices in consumers' homes.
