Bowling alley Hollywood Bowl has recently deployed new Expo 10 tablet enclosures, designed by manufacturer imageHOLDERS, in its alleys in the U.K. The kiosk enclosures will hold Linx 10 Windows 8 tablets, according to the press release.
Hollywood Bowl and imageHOLDERS have had a business relationship since 2013, when imageHOLDERS deployed 26 tablet enclosures to be used on the bowling alleys by users.
The Expo 10 is designed with a custom mount that allows Hollywood Bowl to place the enclosures on each alley. In addition, imageHOLDERS added features to restrict access to the power button and provide cable management.
"It's been a great experience working with Hollywood Bowl for the past three years; we've had great feedback about the usability from both guests and staff, and the installation has been a smooth process working with Hollywood Bowl's team," said Pete Thompson, director of imageHOLDERS.
"The tablet enclosures are preferred by customers because of their user friendly interface. They've moved bowling into the new century with more interaction between customers and the process," said Tony Stone, general manager, Hollywood Bowl. "The staff love them as well, they are easy to clean and easy to use, and the perfect height for adults and children. The process by which they were installed was very quick and painless, with no issues."
The Expo 10 can accommodate any tablet up to 10.5 inches long, including the iPad, Samsung Galaxy, Linx 10, Google Nexus and Microsoft Surface 2. It is designed to be wall mounted or freestanding, according to the release.
