Good Technology announced today the release of the Windows 8.1 enterprise productivity solution in its Good Enterprise Mobility Management Suites.

The solution allows IT enhanced security and productivity on Windows 8.1 tablets, the company said.  

"Twenty percent of IT buyers are planning to buy a Microsoft Surface tablet in the fourth quarter of 2014, second only to Apple's iPad, according to our ChangeWave Research service," said Chris Hazelton, research director, enterprise mobility, at 451 Research, in the release. "This means that enterprise mobility management vendors need to support Windows 8.1 alongside other mobile operating systems, allowing users everywhere to be more productive with anytime access to email, calendar and contacts — quickly, easily and securely."​​

The Good Enterprise for Windows 8.1 solution is intended to ease help desk support with management and security features that assist with deployment and lower cost of ownership. The Good EMM app allows users to check email, create and manage meeting requests, sync contacts and view documents from Windows 8.1 tablets.

Good EMM suites are suitable for organizations with various mobility platforms and kiosk solutions, the company said.
