Custom insole maker eSoles Custom Footbeds has announced that it will be performing foot scans for spectators at the Accenture Match Play Championship, a World Golf Championships event at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Marana, Ariz., using its 3D TruCapture Kiosk.
Tournament spectators will have the opportunity to be scanned on-site during the tournament, February 15-21. Currently, more than 100 PGA Tour players have had their feet scanned and wear eSoles custom footbeds, including Camilo Villegas, Bo Van Pelt, D.A. Points and Ted Purdy.
Once the foot scan is complete, spectators have the option of purchasing a pair of eFit custom modular footbeds at the event or waiting a few days to receive a pair of ePro custom footbeds at their designated address. The 3D TruCapture Kiosk takes 100 percent 3D digital images of an individual's feet and uses precise algorithms to compare customer foot scans to its database of more than 50,000 foot scans to construct unique custom footbeds tailored to the needs of each customer's feet.
"Spectators at the Accenture Match Play Championship will receive a first-hand experience of the new 3D foot scanning kiosks that eSoles is launching nationwide in selected large and specialty sports retailers throughout 2010," said Glen Hinshaw, CEO of eSoles. "While at the event, spectators will have a special opportunity to purchase a pair of custom eFit or ePro footbeds designed specifically for their feet, which previously were reserved only for the PGA Tour players."
