The Grassy Waters Everglades Preserve in West Palm Beach, Florida has installed a touchscreen kiosk that allows visitors to look up information about birds that make their home in the 23 miles of wetlands, according to a Palm Beach Post report.
There are about 120 species of birds in the preserve.
Visitors can see pictures of birds, hear the sounds they make, read about them and watch videos on the kiosk. They can also record their observations about the birds on the kiosk and learn where other visitors spotted the birds.
The data will be used by scientists to study bird habits and to help planners make decisions about land use.
The kiosk was funded by the Gassy Waters Foundation with support from the Ibis Charities Foundation.
