The Lee County Tax Collector has added two Florida MV Express kiosks at Publix stores, bringing the county's total to nine, according to a press release.

The machines are at Publix at Calusa Cay, 5100 Pine Island Road in Bokeelia, and Publix at Shoppes at Del Prado, 17960 N. Tamiami Trail in North Fort Myers.

Eligible customers can renew vehicle registrations by entering their renewal notice PIN or license plate number and the first registered owner's date of birth, then submitting payment. The machines print the updated registration and license plate decal immediately, with transactions averaging less than two minutes, according to the tax collector's office.

Tax Collector Noelle Branning said the grocery store locations give customers another way to complete renewals while running errands. Florida residents can use any Florida MV Express kiosk statewide, subject to eligibility requirements.
