Residents of Timisoara, Western Romania, may ride at no cost with the new self-service bike-rental program provided by the €1.2 million of funds allotted from the EU, according to the Romania Insider.
Twenty-five rental stations will provide entry to the 300 bicycles in the bike-sharing program. Commuters can use their public transport card to rent a bike at the kiosk stations. The program is managed by the Timisoara Public Transport Company, which has not yet decided if a fee will be charged for rental or if the program will remain free.
