EmployTouch acquired by Ultimate Software

Toronto-based EmployTouch Inc. announced that it has been acquired by Ultimate Software.

EmployTouch's signature product is TouchBase, a tablet-based solution for time and labor data collection, employee self-service and collaboration.

Ultimate will market the TouchBase solution as UltiPro TouchBase beginning this month as a time clock device option to customers who use Ultimate's HCM and workforce management solutions, the announcement said.

"More than 50 percent of employees in the U.S. are hourly, without continuous access to a computer at work," said Adam Rogers, chief technology officer for Ultimate Software. "Adding UltiPro TouchBase to our HCM suite aligns perfectly Ultimate's mission to simplify people's work lives with comprehensive solutions — not just for the HR/payroll professionals, but for every employee of the organization."
