EMN8, a San Diego-based company that manufactures transaction kiosks with touch screen displays to accelerate customer orders at fast-food restaurants and other retailers, has raised $12.2 million of a targeted $18.2 million equity round, according to xconomy.com.
EMN8 signed an agreement in September with IBM, allowing the company to take on EMN8's manufacturing, services and sales responsibilities. EMN8 had previously raised about $30 million from GRP Partners, Sequoia Capital, Sid Bass Associate and Steamboat Ventures, according to Venture Wire. Allegis Capital also has a representative on EMN8's board.
