DigitalSignage.com expands into self-service kiosk market

DigitalSignage.com, a provider of digital signage software and hardware, announced it will offer its products for self-service kiosk applications.

“In the last six months, we have witnessed a rapid increase in the demand for kiosk software along with traditional digital signage software requests,” said Nathan Nead, a principal at DigitalSignage.com. “We feel an expansion into the self-service kiosk market is a good strategic fit for company growth.”

The kiosk software offered by DigitalSignage.com represents a mix of digital sign software and kiosk software. Much like its counterpart in digital signage, kiosk software allows users to remotely manage content and arrange their digital assets into different day-parted schedules. In addition, kiosk software allows for more interactivity.

“It allows users to obtain the specific information they need through interacting with the kiosk. It represents everything digital signage does, but adds additional value as a feedback mechanism,” Nead said.

As a platform, the software allows for multiple sets of tools, giving users the ability to create and edit content directly on the cloud. In addition, the software offers development and runtime environment applications which allow kiosk lock down for unattended public use. The DigitalSignage.com kiosk software includes the ability to manage and monitor multiple kiosks in unlimited locations. The software is offered via the cloud at $8.95 per month per terminal. Or organizations can host content themselves by investing in a sign server.

As part of the company’s expansion into kiosk software, DigitalSignage.com has also partnered with domestic and foreign manufacturing firms for self-service kiosk design and creation. These partnerships allow customers to choose from a combination of hardware applications and controls to build a network of kiosks that is customized to their specific project requirements.

Custom manufacturing requests receive prototypes of their kiosk design within 45 days. Each shipped piece comes complete with a three-year warranty.
