Colorado dieters can now gain incentives to lose weight through Weigh and Win kiosks. These kiosks provide dieters with prizes for their efforts, according to areport by the Loveland (Colorado) Reporter-Herald.
These kiosks were developed by a partnership between incentaHEALTH and Kaiser Permanente, and there are currently 68 of them throughout Colorado. In order to use the kiosks, dieters register online and then go to the kiosk to weigh in and take a picture. They can take a look at their progress over time.
The kiosk will give a variety of prizes based on points and the user's BMI number. For example, users with a BMI of 25 or greater are eligible for cash prizes. Other times, users can enter for drawings for prizes such as Fitbits.
"Having the kiosk and the structure and the rewards, makes it kind of like a game — like a contest," Matt Norris, Weight and Win customer, said in an interview with the Reporter-Herald. "You feel like you are on your own little game show, your own version of 'The Biggest Loser.'"
