Countertop kiosk flexes to meet FIs' cash-handling needs

November 7, 2016

Source Technologies, a provider of integrated solutions for managing financial transactions, is introducing its 8-Series counter top kiosk.

The new kiosk was designed to fill several organizational needs, ranging from automatic queuing to handling banking transactions traditionally performed by tellers, according to a press release,

Institutions with existing cash recyclers can maximize that investment with the 8-Series counter top kiosk, which integrates easily with third-party cash handling devices, the company said.

The 8-Series Countertop Kiosk features projective capacitance touchscreen technology pioneered by Apple, which replicates the user experience found in smartphones.

Additionally, the device occupies a small footprint, and weighs 87 lbs. The kiosk features the latest Intel-based single board computing system and bar code imaging technology. Such applications improve customer relations while decreasing operational costs, the release said.

“Customers have come to rely on the convenience of self-service technology, whether at their local grocery store or within their local bank branch,” said Source Technologies CEO Keith Hamilton, in the release. “Our 8-Series countertop kiosk brings these experiences into a wealth of institutions, allowing them to streamline their processes. Whether its traditional teller transactions or customer queuing, the 8-Series countertop kiosk is designed to customize to the need of the particular institution."
