Computer manufacturer releases line of rugged PCs

Computer manufacturer Logic Supply has launched a new line of rugged commercial off-the-shelf PCs designed to withstand extreme conditions including temperature swings, moisture and high levels of shock and vibration.

Computer manufacturer Logic Supply has launched a new line of rugged commercial off-the-shelf PCs designed to withstand extreme conditions including temperature swings, moisture and high levels of shock and vibration, according to a press release.

The line consists of the SR100, SR200 and SR700, which all feature passive cooling technology and fanless and ventless enclosures. They will also feature a 9V to 36V DC input voltage range. Each model comes with slightly different features.

The SR 100 comes with:

  • Intel Quad-Core i7 processor, which can operate in temperatures from -40 degrees Celsius to 70 degrees Celsius;
  • Dual GB LAN ports;
  • 4 USB ports; and
  • 64 GB solid state drive.

The SR200 comes with:

  • Support for up to four 1080p HD displays;
  • Intel Quad Core i7-4700EQ processor;
  • Ability to withstand -40 degrees Celsius to 75 degrees Celsius; and
  • Four USB 3.0 ports.

The SR700 comes with:

  • Water resistant M12 connectors for all I/O interfaces;
  • Ability to withstand vibration and shock; and
  • Operating temperature range of -40 degrees Celsius to 75 degrees Celsius.

"All of our industrial PCs are designed to resist failure due to environmental factors, but there are some projects that require a level of ruggedness that we were previously unable to offer," JP Ishaq, Logic Supply product manager, said in the release. "These MIL-Spec systems from Perfectron provide our clients another step up in durability and reliability."
