Clock Software, a UK-based hospitality software developer, introduced a hotel kiosk that provides a range of guest services at World Travel Market London 2016, according to a press release.
"We, at Clock, are constantly adding guest-facing features to our hotel management system Clock PMS," said Krasimir Trapchev, CEO and co-founder of Clock Software. "The kiosk is our last development, designed to fit every hotel lobby and enhance the customer experience by providing one more self-check-in option."
The kiosk will let hotel guests check in, pay due guarantee deposits, issue their key card and skip reception completely. Clock Software provides both the hardware and the software, which is part of the digital hotel management platform Clock PMS, along with other guest engagement features, online distribution, rate intelligence and hotel cloud-based management (PMS) functionalities.
Hotel kiosks have always been stand-alone devices that need a somewhat tedious, expensive and limited integration with the hotel’s property management system. Even putting cost and stability aside, the self-check-in kiosk, the PMS and the rest of the guest-facing apps a hotel might be using could only provide a fragmented guest experience.
Clock PMS, is designed to provide digital guest services from within the property management system, thus eliminating the need for third party integration and synchronization. The kiosk will be introduced to the trade in November.
