Chicago stores get a taste of ice cream kiosks

U-Vend, provider of self-service electronic kiosks, announced the installation of their Mini-Melts ice cream-vending kiosks in Chicago-area stores, according to a company press release.

The company will pilot six kiosks initially, with future plans for another 40 locations through 2015. U-Vend has 75 self-service machines in the Chicago area. Coming installations are being negotiated for select stores of "one of the world's largest retailers," the company said.
