CES to showcase technology this week in Las Vegas

CES, formerly known as the Consumer Electronics Show, will once again feature breakthrough products and services across a range of industries, including the kiosk industry, from Jan. 9-12 in Las Vegas, according to a press release. New this year are dedicated areas and programming focusing on technologies with application to the kiosk industry, including smart cities, artificial intelligence, high-tech retailing, digital money and more. CES 2018 will showcase technology across more than 2.7 million net square feet of exhibit space, the largest show floor in its 51-year history.

One of the fastest growing areas at CES, Eureka Park, will feature more than 900 startups from 42 countries, up 50 percent over last year.

Additional expected trends include: voice and deep machine learning, 5G connectivity, self-driving tech, smart home, robotics, augmented reality, virtual reality, biometrics, security, sports and more. 

CES will take place at three venues: CES Tech East, CES Tech West and CES Tech South.

CES Tech East will be at the Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center, Westgate Las Vegas and Renaissance Las Vegas. This venue will feature innovations in audio, drones, gaming, augmented and virtual reality, vehicle technology, video, wireless devices, wireless services, digital imaging/photography or anything "i."

CES Tech West will be at the Sands Expo/The Venetian, The Palazzo, Wynn Las Vegas and Encore at Wynn. This venue will feature revolutions in fitness and health, the Internet of Things, wearables, smart home, sensors and other technologies. It’s also home to Eureka Park, the startup community at CES.

CES Tech South will be at ARIA, Park MGM and Vdara. This venue will be the CES epicenter for the advertising, content, marketing and entertainment communities, hosting a variety of "C Space" activities, including conference sessions, networking events, exhibits and hospitality suites.
