Cannabis kiosk company to promote financial compliance

July 7, 2016

Cannabis kiosk company Jane has joined the American Trade Association of Cannabis and Hemp, and is planning to use its membership to promote best practices for financial services, banking and compliance, according to a press release.

"Jane will be on a new banking committee in ATACH to promote industry standards for banking and financial services," said Jane CEO David Ellerstein. "We're proud to join ATACH and hopefully help shape the industry's dialogue around proper compliance and responsible banking behavior. For legal cannabis to gain the legitimacy it deserves as America's fastest growing industry, we must hold ourselves to an even higher standard to assuage any concerns banks, government or institutional investors may have about doing business with us."

"We sought out Jane to chair ATACH's newly formed banking committee and spearhead the organization's efforts in this area because of Jane's tremendous management team and the company's industry-leading expertise in banking, payment processing, risk management, and technology," said Michael Bronstein, co-founder of ATACH.
