California bans self-service alcohol sales

According to the Los Angeles Times, California Governor Jerry Brown recently signed into law a bill that prohibits the sale of alcohol via self-service or self-checkout terminals.

The new law requires face-to-face interactions at all supermarkets, in an effort to curb underage drinking and underage alcohol sales through self-service terminals.
