Partteam & OEMkiosks, a kiosk manufacturer based in Portugal, has installed self-order kiosks in Burger King restaurants in Greece, the manufacturer announced in a press release. The project consists of 12 kiosks, although more could be added, company CEO Miguel Soares told Kiosk Marketplace via email. The kiosks have 32-inch monitors, debit/credit card readers and receipt printers. The kiosks only accept debit and credit payment.
Soares was not able to say if the restaurants are franchisees or company-owned locations.
"Through this innovation, the customer makes his request, being able to customize the various dishes and menus," the company stated in the press release. The kiosks offer an excellent medium of advertising and communication with the client, allowing the presentation of new products and encouraging cross-selling, the press release said.
Partteam & OEMkiosks installed its NOMYU QSR SU1 model in the restaurants.
Burger King did not respond to a request for comment at the time of this report.
