Biometric health screening kiosks to deploy at Sav-On Drug Stores

PharmaSmart International Inc. and Sav-Mor/Sav-On Pharmacies, a Michigan-based retail pharmacy network, announced a partnership to deploy PharmaSmart's biometric screening and integrated health IT solutions throughout Michigan pharmacies.

PharmaSmart will deploy its blood pressure and pulse kiosk, supported by its patented, integrated data management solution and the Blood Pressure Tracker personal health record. Through the PharmaSmart PHR, patients and providers can also access the Health & Human Services Million Hearts Risk Assessment platform, which is aimed at eliminating one million heart attacks by 2017.

"High blood pressure impacts one of three American adults, and 33 million cases are reported 'uncontrolled.' That's why we are using the PharmaSmart blood pressure for our new Blood Pressure Club. It will be the foundation of the Sav-Mor Wellness Programs."
