AWM Smart Shelf, which is bringing the benefits of the online experience to physical retail, has integrated its frictionless shopping application with its shelf edge display technology for an improved retail experience.
"We've integrated AWM Frictionless with our market-leading shelf edge display technology to close the loop on providing the online experience in physical retail," Kevin Howard, AWM Smart Shelf CEO, said in the press release.
The technology utilizes only overhead cameras and deep learning to automate the retail experience — including checkout and payment. The installation only requires overhead cameras.
Shelf edge display technology enables real-time product suggestions based on customers' interactions, and information such as product ratings, dynamic pricing and store navigation.
The technology's metrics include shopper behavior analytics and response to various interactive content.
