AVT launches automated micro store

The new micro store is designed with several automated retailing systems to provide a self-service vending solution to selling coffee, muffins, juices and other goods.

Kiosk manufacturer AVT Inc. has announced the launch of a new automated micro store called the Xpress Urban Café. AVT designed the store with several automated retailing systems to provide a self-service vending product for selling coffee, according to the press release.

The Café is designed to sell various coffees, muffins, salads, yogurts, juices and other items. It is also integrated with several automated retailing tools including:

• Remote management and self diagnostics;
• Designed to be FDA and ADA compliant;
• An adjustable grinder for individual coffee brews;
• Wireless payments; and
• Product detection sensors to ensure the products are vended.

"This is more than just a micro store, this is a destination experience," said Wayne Salvino, president of AVT. "We believe these micro stores will become integrated into consumers daily lifestyle, just like Starbucks or breakfast at McDonald's."

The Xpress Urban Café is available now for purchase, according to the release.
