AVT enters propane market with tank exchange, purchase kiosk

The automated retail systems manufacturer AVT Inc. announced the development of a self-service kiosk for the sales and exchange of propane tanks.

To use the AVT Propane Kiosk, customers swipe a credit card and remove the propane from a specified shelf. The company said engineering was critical to create a safe and compliant system that accomplished ease of use, affordable pricing and a range of built-in safety features.

"The AVT Propane Kiosk will completely transform the consumer propane market," said James Winsor, CEO of AVT. "These systems are another example of how AVT continues to move forward, invents the future, and changes the way people think about how products are bought and sold."
