AVT announces automated self-service shops

September 5, 2012

AVT Inc., an automated self-service technology company, announced today the development of a new version of its VendStore24 system. The Corona, Calif.-based manufacturer designed the retail shop to allow brands and vendors to offer products in non-traditional locations, according to the announcement.

The compact and entirely self-service stores accept cash or credit cards, print receipts, coupons and promotional material and provide real-time sales reports, the announcement said. The remote management system gives owners and retailers the ability to change prices on any item and offer customized promotions through a built-in LED screen in the shop.

"Our ability to create advanced systems that cost less than our competitor's is unprecedented in the industry, and is a key reason that our company continues to grow at such rapid rates," said Shannon Illingworth, founder and chairman of AVT, in the announcement. "Automated retailing is the future of shopping…and VendStore24 systems are the future of automated retailing."
