ArmorActive intros 'Receptionist in a Box'

ArmorActive and TextUs.Biz have announced the creation of the Receptionist in a Box, an iPad kiosk solution that performs advanced receptionist tasks.

Available in black or white, the tabletop iPad kiosk is a very approachable solution for any professional environment, the announcement said. ArmorActive's Gravity Flip iPad stand features a quick release function, which allows the user to remove the Evolve enclosure from the kiosk when mobility is needed. The table stand is also designed to be securely mounted so the kiosk can be left unattended. As an upgrade, the Radius floor stand can be combined with this solution to provide a freestanding receptionist kiosk for users that don't have counter space available.

The TextUs.Biz Receptionist iPad app enables visitors to send a text message and/or email to the person they are visiting, notifying them of their arrival. Mail delivery services can use the app to alert the recipient of a package, and the machine also keeps an ongoing visitors log that lists arrivals and departures.
