Kiosk software developer ARCA has announced that its self-service software development platform, Envoy, is now integrated with Crane Payment Innovation's bill payment kiosks, according to an Arca press release.
Envoy provides a number of features, including support for Windows and Linux software development and API to support several programming languages.
"Envoy is designed to help software developers quickly integrate hardware — no matter which devices they choose," said Brian Honeycutt, ARCA's OEM market manager. "The majority of our customers are using industry leading MEI products to handle cash transactions, so supporting this hardware is critical to accelerating the customer's software development."
Crane Payment's two main devices are the MEI SCR bill recycler, which can be used between two denominations for cash management, and the SC Advance, which is a bill acceptor. Crane Payment plans to utilize ARCA's software to certify more kiosks in the future.
"We see the value-add of the Envoy platform and believe it will unlock further market potential," said Bassam Estaitieh, CPI director of marketing for financial services. "Envoy will be instrumental in enabling cash automation products in the U.S. and abroad."
Envoy is available for purchase now.
