Arboretum in Arizona uses kiosks to display climate change research

June 2, 2017

The Arboretum at Flagstaff in Flagstaff, Arizona is creating a center for climate change education that includes three kiosks to highlight technologies, instruments and other features of the Southwest Experimental Garden Array. The array has 10 field sites at different elevation gradients where research projects study ecological and evolutionary responses to changing climate, according to The Arizona Daily Sun.

The kiosks will explain what takes place at the sites.

One kiosk displays how scientists establish sensor triggered watering systems to automatically provide water when soil moisture reaches a certain point. Another kiosk feature presents work the Arboretum has done in collaboration with students and land managers.
