Any Mountain stores implement ski-ticket kiosks

Skiers and snowboarders can purchase tickets via kiosks at Any Mountain stores, an outdoor-specialty retailer in California.

According to a press release from Tranax Technologies Inc., the developer of self-service kiosks that partnered with Livewire International Inc. to design the system, the machines can also dispense coupons, cross-promote ski area facilities, and offer discount tickets at popular Lake Tahoe ski resorts.

"These kiosks will allow skiers and snowboarders to purchase discounted tickets ahead of time, skip the long lines at area ski resorts and have more time for skiing," said David McCracken, president of Livewire.

Specialty Sports Venture LLC, which owns Any Mountain, utilizes Livewire in its Colorado market, and requested installation of self-service kiosks in the Any Mountain stores.
