Louisville, Kentucky-based Xpedient, a subsidiary of Advanced Solutions Inc., has partnered with New Jersey-based convenience store chain QuickChek to provide self-serve kiosk software to their convenience store foodservice locations.

QuickChek began working with Xpedient to provide customizable customer service tool for foodservice ordering.

Maria Fidelibus, QuickChek vice president of information technology, said in a statement, "We needed a process that was simple and easy to execute to deploy the content to over 600 kiosks in our stores."

Xpedient analyzed QuickChek's c-store business model to design a kiosk ordering system to interact with customers and employees.

QuickChek manages three to five different content sets that vary by store. Xpedient's solution allows the company to guide portion control and provide cost savings to the stores with less waste.

QuickChek Director of Food Service Jennifer Vespole said in a statement, "We are able to now really understand and communicate with our employees [that] this particular recipe gets this amount of cheese, this amount of toppings, based on what is being built to order. Really, we're able to control all of the ingredients that go on that sandwich and understand what our base cost is for every product."

The origination button tracking feature of the software allows for the analysis of product placement within the kiosk system, providing an understanding of customer preference and utilization.
