The digital signage and interactive media solution provider X-Factor has reached into the healthcare world with a new solution that allows for collecting and retrieving patient information through devices such as a tablet or a kiosk.
According to the trade Web site Health Tech Zone, X-Factor's new Corporate Communication Control Center solution enables customers to publish mass notifications and data across different applications and devices, including desktops, digital signage, kiosks, smartphones, tablets and intranet sites like SharePoint.
The digital broadcasting and interactive communication platform uses HTML5, RCS and WebRTC for enhancing broadcast, communication and delivery capabilities. Further, the company's Digital Screen Control Portal platform incorporates HTML5, rich communication services and WebRTC capabilities for displaying actionable multimedia content in high definition across multiple devices, which are designed to reduce compatibility issues between devices and operating systems in the marketplace.
The content management system provides an interface for creating, updating, managing and deploying content over the signage network while adding interactivity with mobile SMS, 2D Barcode, location services and touchscreens.
X-Factor said its platform gives healthcare organizations a communication and operational tool to improve staff efficiency by targeting messages and accessing key metrics that produce real-time intelligence. And its healthcare solutions can disseminate customized messages related to locations or health conditions, or in response to widespread emergencies such as natural disasters.
"Our C4 solution is powerful, interactive and easy to use," Jeffrey Singman, X-Factor chief sales and marketing officer, said in the release. "With a single click on a published message, a recipient can be directed to detailed information, launch a related video, reach a live person at a call center and more. We've developed our healthcare solutions with input from our customers and in collaboration with several technology partners, ensuring that our solutions work on smart phones, tablets and desktops."
