Wisconsin city installs parking kiosks

Parking kiosks installed in Stevens Point, Wisconsin become active today, September 5, according to The Stevens Point City Times.

The electronic kiosks are replacing parking meters at various locations surrounding the UW-Stevens Point campus and Ministry St. Michael's Hospital. The city will also introduce kiosks in new areas where motorists could previously park for free.

The kiosks will accept coins, debit and credit cards. The parking rate will be 50 cents an hour.
