According to The Patriot-News in Central Pennsylvania, the state's Liquor Control Board is planning to begin testing wine-selling kiosks in two midstate supermarkets next month.
The kiosks, which will go into a Wegmans and a Giant food Store, will allow shoppers to buy bottles of wine from the self-service kiosks — using driver's licenses inserted into the machines to prove they are at least 21 years-old.
If the initial pilot is considered successful, the wine-selling kiosks could be deployed in about 100 supermarkets across Pennsylvania by year's end.
