Wincor-Nixdorf to distribute self-serve postal terminals

PADERBORN, Germany -- Wincor Nixdorf, in cooperation with vendor New Vision, will distribute stamp terminals in selected countries. Both companies made the announcement pre-show to Post-Expo, which will take place Oct. 7-9, 2003.

The modular terminals are available with touchscreen, scales and various payment methods, meeting the requirements of modern self-service solutions in the postal environment, according to a news release.

"Staying ahead of the competition has become a constant challenge for postal services, just like any other industry. The postal service providers who lead the race will be those who expand their existing delivery channels to include new technologies, new solutions and innovative self-service," said Uwe Krause, marketing director for Wincor Nixdorf, in the release.
