USA Today: Orlando's recently launched Registered Traveler program has helped many people get on their flights faster - but at a cost. In addition to the program's $79.95 fee, users must give up personal biometric data. This is nothing new - loyalty programs and toll-booth express lanes have collected such personal information for years - but privacy advocates are concerned about the possible rise of a "surveillance society" from all of this consumer information.
