PORTLAND, Ore. -- Supermarket chain Raley's Superstores is boosting its healthy offerings with the addition of Healthnotes touchscreen kiosks in 17 stores in California and Nevada.
The kiosks are part of Raley's new Well for Life centers, according to a Healthnotes, Inc. news release. The kiosks provide shoppers with health and nutrition information, including healthy recipes. Healthnotes kiosks also offer safety information on more than 18,000 potential interactions between supplements and frequently used prescription and over-the-counter drugs.
More than 6,500 supermarkets, pharmacies and natural product stores in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom use Healthnotes retail applications and Web content, according to the release.
Raley's is a privately owned chain headquartered in West Sacramento, Calif. The chain's 150 supermarkets -- operating under the names Raley's, Bel Air Markets, Nob Hill Foods and Food Source -- are located in California, Nevada and New Mexico.
