Washington University tests food ordering kiosks

The dining services department at Washington University in St. Louis is testing two touchscreen kiosks in the school's Whispers Cafe during winter break, with plans to open a café where all orders will be placed with kiosks, according to Student Life, a campus newspaper.

Paul Schimmele, the dining services manager, said users can send messages from the kiosks to their phones. In addition, he said, the kiosks allow users to download an app and order from their phone.
