Vending machines offering contraceptives are expanding in Washington State, the first state to allocate funding for such machines at universities, according to a report in The Seattle Times.

The University of Washington installed such a machine in November at its Odegaard Library and will expand affordable reproductive health care products.

The machines will carry Plan B, which prevents pregnancy after unprotected sex for up to 72 hours.
