Warner Bros. inks same-day DVD, Blu-ray Disc release agreement with Redbox

All new Warner Bros. DVD and Blu-ray Disc titles will now be available at Redbox kiosks the same day as their retail sell-through dates. The agreement also maintains new release and catalog availability via Redbox On Demand at first release, according to a press release.

"We're thrilled to announce this day-and-date agreement with Warner Bros. that provides the consistently strong slate of Warner Bros. titles to consumers at their earliest physical retail sell-through availability," Redbox CEO Galen Smith said in the announcement. 

Upcoming releases from Warner Bros. include "Rampage" on July 17 and "Ready Player One" on July 24.

The Redbox retail network now includes more than 41,500 kiosks. Redbox On Demand offers many of the same new release movies available at the kiosks, and an expanded library of hit movies and TV shows for rental or purchase.
