Virgin Airlines adds check-in kiosks to New York's LaGuardia Airport

Low-cost carrier announces new self-service capabilities at LaGuardia.

October 29, 2014

California-based airline Virgin America announced new services installed in New York's LaGuardia Airport.

Included in the new service is a self-service touchscreen kiosk at the company's ticket counter. The white kiosk has the look and feel of a concierge's desk, Virgin said.

"We are excited to expand our footprint in New York even further with the addition of LaGuardia, becoming only the second low-cost carrier to serve all three major airports in the metropolitan area," said Virgin America Senior Vice President of Planning and Sales John Macleod in a company announcement. "We have had a great response to our fares so far, demonstrating that travelers are ready for more fare and product competition at LaGuardia, particularly on this key business route to Dallas Love Field. Our 20 new teammates here at LaGuardia can't wait to showcase our industry-leading product and service to even more New York travelers."
