Kiosk and digital media manufacturer Videotel developed a digital signage solution at the Sunnyvale Heritage Park Museum in California, the San Diego-based company announced.

The museum requested a solution for a 117-panel wall showcasing Sunnyvale history. Videotel provided the museum its HD2600, an industrial grade HD DVD player designed for HD video content.  The DVD player can create a continuous loop of content and automatically power-on, requiring no manual adjustments, the company said. The HD2600 shows short videos as part of permanent and changing exhibitions.

"The Sunnyvale Historical Society has been using Videotel products for over six years as part of our high-tech wall. This wall consists of 117 panels that contain artifacts and/or video screens driven by the HD2600," said Vice President of Technical Operations Johan Koning in the release. "All electronics, including the Videotel players, are controlled by timers that power the video wall on and off daily. The solution has been running for over six years without failure."
